Using CrowdCue

Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules and responsibilities that apply to DJs, event organizers, and guests using CrowdCue.

Effective September 5, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service are a legally binding agreement between you and Signature Sound DJs, which operates CrowdCue. By creating an account, joining an event, or otherwise accessing or using CrowdCue, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use CrowdCue.

2. Who may use CrowdCue

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create and manage a DJ account. Event guests who are minors may use the guest experience only with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent, guardian, or event organizer. Guests must not make payments without legal authority to use the selected payment method.

DJ users must provide accurate account information, protect their login credentials, and promptly notify us if they believe an account has been accessed without authorization.

3. What CrowdCue provides

CrowdCue lets DJs create event experiences and lets guests join with a CrowdCode, search for music, submit song requests, vote, view queue information, and send tips through available payment providers.

A request or vote does not guarantee that a song will be played. The DJ or event organizer controls the music selection, queue, event rules, and whether any request is accepted, prioritized, played, or removed. CrowdCue does not provide music streaming or playback rights.

4. DJ and event-organizer responsibilities

DJ users and event organizers are responsible for:

  • Having authority to create and manage each listed event.
  • Providing accurate event and payment-method information.
  • Managing requests and guest activity appropriately.
  • Obtaining any music, public-performance, venue, business, tax, or other licenses and permissions required for their activities.
  • Complying with applicable laws, venue rules, and payment-provider requirements.

CrowdCue does not grant a license to perform, reproduce, distribute, stream, or publicly play music.

5. Guest responsibilities

Guests must use CrowdCodes only for their intended events and participate respectfully. Guests may not submit unlawful, threatening, harassing, deceptive, or abusive content; impersonate another person; manipulate votes; submit automated requests; or interfere with an event or the service.

A DJ or event organizer may manage or remove guest activity at their discretion, subject to applicable law.

6. Content submitted through CrowdCue

You retain any rights you have in names, text, event details, or other content you submit. You give CrowdCue a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve CrowdCue.

You must have the right to submit your content. Do not submit confidential information or content that violates another person's rights.

7. Tips and payments

Tips are voluntary payments intended for the DJ. Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment service selected by the guest. CrowdCue is not a bank, card issuer, money transmitter, or payment processor, and the provider's terms and privacy policy also apply.

A completed tip generally cannot be canceled through CrowdCue. Refunds, reversals, disputes, processing delays, and payment-method availability are subject to applicable law, the DJ's response, and the payment provider's rules. CrowdCue may retain and process limited transaction records needed to confirm payments, address refunds or disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

8. Prohibited uses

You may not:

  • Use CrowdCue for an unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or private event data.
  • Probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security or access controls.
  • Overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or automate access to the service.
  • Upload malicious code or misuse payment or notification systems.
  • Use CrowdCue in a way that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.

9. CrowdCue ownership

CrowdCue and its software, design, branding, logos, and original content are owned by CrowdCue or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not give you ownership of CrowdCue or permission to use its branding except as needed to use the service normally.

10. Third-party services

CrowdCue connects with services such as music catalogs, website hosting, database providers, email delivery, Stripe, and external payment apps. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their independent availability, content, security, or practices. Your use of them may be governed by separate terms.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep CrowdCue reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Music catalogs, payment methods, and other features may be changed, limited, or discontinued. DJs should maintain a reasonable backup method for receiving requests during live events.

12. Suspension, termination, and deletion

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect CrowdCue, other users, payment systems, or legal compliance, including for suspected fraud, abuse, security threats, or material violations of these terms.

DJ users may delete their account through DJ Settings. Deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, including limited retention of transaction records needed for refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrowdCue is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrowdCue and Signature Sound DJs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from CrowdCue or an event.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from CrowdCue will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid directly to CrowdCue for the service during the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction in Clark County, Washington, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as CrowdCue changes. We will publish the revised terms here and update the effective date. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law. We will provide additional notice when required.
