1. Who we are
CrowdCue is operated by Signature Sound DJs. CrowdCue allows DJs to create events and lets guests join with a CrowdCode, request songs, vote, view the live queue, and tip the DJ.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to info@signaturesounddjs.com.
2. Information we collect
DJ account information
We collect information used to create and secure a DJ account, such as an email address, authentication records, notification preferences, and information submitted for support.
Event and music information
We store event names and CrowdCodes, song searches, requested tracks, artist and album details, votes, queue status, and related event activity.
Guest participation information
Guests do not need an account. CrowdCue creates a random guest identifier and saves it in the guest's browser to remember votes and reduce duplicate activity. Guests may optionally provide a display name. The DJ can see guest activity for their event, and song, vote, and queue information may be visible to other guests.
Tips and payment information
We store the tip amount, payment provider, transaction status, identifiers needed to reconcile a payment, and information needed for refunds or disputes. Stripe or another payment provider processes the payment itself. CrowdCue does not receive or store full card numbers or wallet credentials.
Technical information
CrowdCue and its hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser and device details, timestamps, diagnostic information, and request logs to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide DJ accounts, event tools, and the guest experience.
- Find music and operate requests, voting, and the live queue.
- Initiate, confirm, reconcile, refund, and dispute tips.
- Send account, security, payment, and service notifications.
- Prevent duplicate activity, abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve CrowdCue.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.
CrowdCue does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. When information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate CrowdCue, complete a transaction, follow your direction, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. This can include the DJ or event organizer, vendors working on our behalf, a payment provider selected by the guest, professional advisers, or authorities when legally required.
Third-party services handle information under their own terms and privacy policies when you interact with them directly.
5. Browser storage and analytics
The guest website uses browser local storage to remember the random guest identifier and optional display name on that device. You can remove this information by clearing site data in your browser. CrowdCue does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising or behavioral analytics on the guest website.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide CrowdCue, maintain security, resolve support issues, and satisfy financial or legal obligations. DJ users can delete their CrowdCue account from DJ Settings. Account deletion removes the account and associated event information, subject to limited records that must remain for refunds, payment disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. Those retained records are minimized or separated from the deleted account when appropriate.
Guests can clear CrowdCue's locally stored identifier and name through their browser settings. A guest may also request help deleting identifiable event activity by contacting us with the CrowdCode, event date, and approximate time of participation.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. Contact us to submit a request. We may need enough information to reasonably verify the request and protect the account or event from unauthorized access.
CrowdCue does not sell personal information, so there is no sale of personal information to opt out of.
8. Children’s privacy
CrowdCue is a general-audience event service and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization. Guests under 13 should use CrowdCue only with a parent or guardian, should not enter a display name, and should not make a payment without their parent or guardian's involvement. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information can contact us to request its deletion.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls, authenticated account operations, and restricted database permissions. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as CrowdCue changes. We will publish the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.
